Eighth: The number of rakaats for Tahajjud prayers have been determined i.e Syeedul Mursalin Imamul Mursalin ‘Hu’dur Pak Swallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam used to pray 13 rakaats and then 7 rakaats Tahajjud prayer along with Bitr. And according to the people who claim that Taraweeh prayer is 8 rakaat- there is no proof of any fixed amount of Rakaats for Taraweeh by Syeedul Mursalin Imamul Mursalin ‘Hu’dur Pak Swallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam. For example, it has been mentioned in scriptures-
قال علامة السبكى اعلم انه لم ينقل كم صلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فى تلك لليالى هل هو عشرون او اقل. (شرح المنهاج)
Meaning:- Allama Subki says, during Ramadan ‘Hu’dur Pak Swallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam would pray 20 rakaats Taraweeh, not less. (Shahre Minhaz)
What’s noticeable is that, not only is their statement invalid, it also proves that Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers are different. If it were the same, then according to them Taraweeh prayers wouldn’t be unlimited rather it would be limited like Tahajjud.
From the above discussion it can be clearly proven that Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers are never the same. Considering them as one is nothing but stupidity and derailment. It is also proved that Ha’drwat Ayesha Siddiqua Rwadiallahu Anhu’s hadeeth in the ‘Bukhari Shareef’ regarding Taraweeh prayer being 8 rakaats is not acceptable rather that hadeeth shareef is regarding Tahajjud prayer.
Therefore, their ideology and claims are completely irrelevant, misleading and fake. May Allah paak the greatest protect us from this.
