How much is Swadkatul Fitr this year?

Akhiri  Rasul, Habibullah Huzur Pak Sallahu Alihi wa Sallam commend that

Meaning: Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Sa’laba or Sa’laba Ibn Abdullah Ibn Abu Suair described from His father that, , Habibullah Huzur Pak Sallahu Alihi wa Sallam commend that, 1 Sa wheat or flour will have to be given(aday kora) from both sides , elder or younger, free or slave, man or women. (Abu Daud Sharif, Mishkat Sharif)

According to our Hanafi Mazhab, half SA’ means 1kg(sher) 12½ chotak, or about 1657 gram.

Therefore, on whom  Chadkatul Fitr is valid(Wazib), means at the time of subhe sadik on Eid Day those who have Nisab amount of property (7½ Vori gold 52½ tola silver or same amount of taka which is 1950 taka per tola this time and total 1,02,375 taka),  will distribute this  1kg(sher) 12½ chotak or 1657 gram flour or same amount of money.

The price of flour varies from place to place in our country. Therefore, on whom Chadkatul Fitr is valid (Wazib), will distribute the price of 1kg(sher) 12½ chotak or 1657 gram flour.

The price of 1kg(sher) 12½ chotak or 1657 gram flour is about 50.00 taka in Dhaka city this year.

Such as, 1kg or 1000 gram flour 30.00 taka.

1 gram flour is 30.00/1000= 0.03 taka

1657 gram flour is 1657 x 0.03= 49.71 or 50.00 taka (about).

Less than this amount is not allowed, but if anyone wants he can distribute more.

To mention, in Hanafi Mazhab, Chadkatul Fitr is to be made equivalent with  the price of only wheat or its flour .Any other standard will not be valid .  To give Chadkatul Fitr with the country’s main food is basically La- Mazhabi’s judicial (Fatwa). Therefore it is not allowed to follow or practice this judicial (Fatwa) for any Mazhab follower. Moreover it is not allow for the follower of one Mazhab to follow the rule or judicial (Fatwa) of other Mazhab’s.
