Demand for 7 days Eid vacation due to miserable road condition

Allah Pak Declares in Qur’an Shareef, “Allah Pak Does not help a nation until they help themselves”. This is a country of 97% Muslims; a country with its State-Religion as Islam. But there is not the least government patronage in Eid, the major religious festival of 97% Muslims of this country. There is no official initiatives and assistance in going home for 5 to 6 million citizens from the capital and around 20 millions from all over the country. Moreover, this time, it is not only the transports’ hitch but the condition of the roads and streets are frightful! On this plea, there is no alternative but extension of Eid leave. This should be at least 7 days or else, the government shall have to bear responsibilities of accidents and all other anarchy.

Prime Point of Allah’s attention, Imam and Mujtahid of the age, Imaamul Aimmah, Qutwubul A’alam, Awladur Rwasool, Habeebullah, Mamduh, Hajrat Murshid Qibla Mudda Zilluhul A’alee of Rajarbagh Dorbar Shareef, Dhaka, said, “97% people of this country of state–religion Islam is Muslims. Eid ul Fitr is one of an important Eid (Day of joy and happiness) for them. In this regard, Hadis Shareef has references that, “Every community or clan has its own festival day. ‘Eid ul Fitr’ and ‘Eid ul Azha’ are the Eid or the ‘Days of Joy’ for the Muslims”.”

Mujaddide A’azwam Hajrat Murshid Qibla Mudda Zilluhul A’alee says “Muslims would tend to pass their major religious festival with their parents or family members – that’s obvious and Islam-supporting as well because taking care of the rights of parents and family members is a Far’d in Islam; on the other hand, it is a pretext of achieving the contentment of Allah Pak and Huzur Pak Swallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam.”

Mujaddide A’azwam Hajrat Murshid Qibla Mudda Zilluhul A’alee says “But this aspect is not realized by the so-called ‘policy-makers’ of this country of state-religion Islam. No sponsorship is made available in this regard or no effective steps taken.”

Mujaddide A’azwam Hajrat Murshid Qibla Mudda Zilluhul A’alee says “The state-machinery does not see that almost 20 million people move from various districts all over the country to go home at this time. The capital alone takes load of 5 to 6 million people moving home. Also from Chittagong, 2 to 3 million people go to their respective homes. One must think how many additional transports and how much extra time would be required for these people to go home.”

Mujaddide A’azwam Hajrat Murshid Qibla Mudda Zilluhul A’alee says, “This year the main means of public transportation that is the entire road transports system has collapsed. In that case, this huge size of people, more than 2 million citizens cannot extricate from the capital depending only on trains and water vessels. It is taking two to four hours just to cross Jatrabari from Saidabad Bus terminal. Buses of Chittagong route have to endure more three to four hours for crossing the damaged roads from Gouripur of Comilla till Sitakundo of Chittagong. Combining all, earlier it used to be around 6 hours to reach Chittagong which has now gone up to 12 to 14 hours! Besides, the portion of the roads from Dhaka-Tangail and Mirzapur up to Bangobondhu Bridge, portion from Turghata to Sanuhar of Dhaka-Barisal route,  Comilla-Barhminbaria Road, the Bonpara-Hatikumrul  portion of Dhaka-Rajshahi route, and Jessore-Khulna highway roads are full of large craters, posing greater threats to normal vehicles movement. In the last few days, number of vehicles got stuck up on these routes causing stretched out traffic jams. Efforts are on to make these roads pliable by filling brick-bats and concretes. Vehicles in such condition are moving on these roads at ‘turtle speeds’. So instead of two, they are taking 5 o 6 hours. Quite a number of important roads of the country are under this condition. It is learnt from a final count that, 40,000 kilometers of road condition of the country is under vulnerable condition now. Some of them are so susceptible that before constructing them afresh, it wouldn’t be possible to run vehicles on them anymore. Out of that, repairing of 60% of the highways is badly required. Important highways allover the country is under severe condition. So having no speed of the vehicles, long traffic congestions are occurring often while Police and the administration are in great fix in controlling such situations.”

Mujaddide A’azwam Hajrat Murshid Qibla Mudda Zilluhul A’alee says, “Nowhere tickets are available. Most of the tickets of buses, launch and trains are under the grip of the black-marketers. On the vulnerability of the passengers, they are misappropriating millions. While Eid is closing, the city terminals are already buzzing with ‘ticket-trading’.  Nowhere the tickets of buses, launches and trains are available. It’s like a ‘Golden Deer’. Without paying just the double of the price, a ticket for a desired date is not available. Dreadful pictures of passenger harassments, ticket black-marketing, hassles and embarrassments in Gabtoli, Saidabad, Mohakhali and Sadarghat terminals  and kamalapur Railway station in the capital and elsewhere throughout the country have been reported.”

Mujaddide A’azwam Hajrat Murshid Qibla Mudda Zilluhul A’alee says, “And yet from the government’s side, no effective action so far has been taken to ensure the safe home bounding for 5 to 6 million people of the country.”

Mujaddide A’azwam Hajrat Murshid Qibla Mudda Zilluhul A’alee says, “It appears that, the government has no liability toward the safety of the life and assets of 20 million home bound people all over the country and that it holds no responsibility, headache, sympathy or sense of responsibility toward them; it only displays sheer negligence!”

Mujaddide A’azwam Hajrat Murshid Qibla Mudda Zilluhul A’alee says, “Nevertheless, this situation must end and right now, proper planning has to be made. Relevantly, in this case, extension of Eid leave is best rewarding because Eid ul Fitr is the Greatest festival in this country of 97% Muslim population, with State-religion Islam. In those so-called developed world, 7 days of ‘christmas holidays’ are earmarked. In certain places, it is even a month. If the same thing is done in our country, there shall be good returns. In such cases, there will not be a ground of hurrying and coming back to Dhaka in limited timings. So, there will be no rush and not so many road or maritime accidents.”

Mujaddide A’azwam Hajrat Murshid Qibla Mudda Zilluhul A’alee says, “The gist is: the government of Bangladesh and all other Muslim and non-Muslim governments of the world should declare a 7 days of leave on the occasion of the sacred Eid ul Fitr while at the same, take adequate measures and arrange for financial supports so that Muslims may celebrate the Eid under Shariah systems in befitting manner expressing joy and happiness!”
