Sayyidul Ayyad Sharif or the greatest Eid, celebrating Eid E Milad E Habibullah sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam is never an innovation or a new thing, those who say innovation, they say it because of their Jihalat (ignorance).
Basically Sayyidul Mursalin, Imamul Mursalin, Habibullah Huzoor Pak Sallallhu Alaihi Wasallam, he himself celebrated his Eid Milad (Habibi Sallallhu Alaihi Wasallam). The day of His sacred Biladat Sharif (Birthday) is Yaomul Ichnain or Monday. He used to fast in gratitude on this day.
Meaning: “Narrated by Hazrat Abu Qatada Ansari Radiyallahu Tayala Anhu. He said, once Noor E Mujassam, Habibullah Huzoor Pak Sallallhu Alaihi Wasallam, was asked about fasting on Yaomul Ichlainil Azim Sharif and Yaomul Khomis, then Noor E Mujassam, Habibullah Huzoor Pak Sallallhu Alaihi Wasallam, he said that on this day ( Yaomul Ichlainil Azeem Sharif) I revealed the state of my Sacred Biladat (Birthday), and on this day the revelation or the Sacred Quran Sharif was revealed to me.” (Muslim Sharif: Hadith Sharif No. 2807, Abu Dawud Sharif: Hadith Sharif No. 2428, Sunan Kubra Li Bayhaqvi Sharif: Hadith Sharif No. 8217, Ibn Khuzayma Sharif: Hadith Sharif No. 2117, Musnad Abi Awana: Hadith Sharif No. 2926, Musnad Ahmad Sharif : Hadith Sharif No. 22603)
It is known from the Sacred Hadith Sharif that Sacred Monday is the day of Sayyidul Mursalin, Imamul Mursalin, Khatamun Nabiyeen, Noor E Mujassam Habibullah Huzoor Pak Sallallhu Alaihi Wasallam, and ceremonially the day of revelation of Prophethood. There is an indication of fasting on this day in the Sacred Hadith Sharif.
This also proves that joys and mirht should be expressed or observed on the day of Biladati Shan Mubarak (Birthday). Because the Sacred Prophet, Habibullah Huzoor Pak Sallallhu Alaihi Wasallamhimself used to fast in gratitude for his arrival. Habibullah celebrated his arrival day on the occasion of his arrival.
And keeping this fast is considered as the basis for observing Eid E Milad Habibullah by the greatest Imam Hazrat Jalaluddin Suyuti Rahmatullahi Alaihi and Imam Ibn Hajar Askalani Rahmatullahi Alaihi. The document is mentioned below: “And the significance of places and times are based on the acts of worship performed in them, which Allah PAK has specified with them, that is, with those times and places. Because, it is well known that the greatness (bijurgi) of space and time is not (ever) due to those entities, but these bijurgis(greatness) are acquired because of the internal virtures (or relations, etc.) with which this space and time are determined or fixed. Now look at those features and blessings that Allah Ta’ala has specified with the month of Rabiul Awal and Monday. Have you not seen that fasting on Monday has great virtue? Because, Beladat Sharif (Birth) of Habibullah Huzur Pak Sallallhu Alaihi Wasallam- happened on this day. So when this month comes, it should be given due respect and importance to this month, and – follow the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Because, he had a sacred habit that he used to pray more during the auspicious times and give more charity.
In this context I (Imam Jalaluddin Suyutvi) have come up with a principle for Milad (validity). That is – Imam Baihaqi (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) narrated from Hazrat Anas Radiyallahu Ta’ala Anhu that the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam performed his own aqeeqah after the revelation of Prophethood, while his respected grandfather Hazrat Abdul Muttalib alaihis salam on the seventh day of his Beladat Sharif(Birthday). And aqeeqah cannot be done in second time. So the reason for this Aqeeqah Mubarak can be said to be that he did it to thank Allah Almighty for making him ‘Rahmatallil A-Lamin’ (Mercy to all the worlds) and to make it lawful for the Ummah (followers) to thank Allah for His blessings he performed aqeeqah mubarak again.
For example he on himself used to recite Durood. So we should also thank Almighty Allah by gathering people, feeding them and expressing happiness in other valid ways. Hazrat Ibn Hajar Askalani Rahmatullahi Alaihi Alaihi has given documents of the two fasts of the sacred Ashura Sharif as the basis for observing the sacred Eid E Milad Habibullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam. He said this fast is observed as a form of thanksgiving. Thanking Almighty Allah for His blessings can be done in different ways. By fasting, prostrating, praying, giving charity. And Huzur Pak Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam is the greatest blessing.” (Husnul Maqashid Fi Amalil Mawlid 63, Al Habi Lil Fatwa 105, Subul Huda War Rashad Volume 1 366 pages, Hujjatullahi Alal Alamin 237 pages)
From the above discussion, it is proved celebrating Eid E Milad Habibullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam is not an innovation (bidyat) rather a special Sunnah Mubarak by expressing happiness for receiving Huzur Pak Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam
