28-05-1438 – Necessity of meaningful Islamic name

Noore Mujassam Habeebullah ‘Hu’dur Pak Swallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam narrates, “In the day of Qiamah (resurrection),  you will be summoned by your name and your father’s name. Therefore, name yourself with a beautiful (meaningful Islamic) name. ”

According to the honorable Islami Shariah, it is Far’d for all Muslim male and female to adopt a beautiful, meaningful Islamic name and to abstain from keeping meaningless anti-Islamic name which resembles with the custom of disbelievers and derailed people.

It is needed because a good name effects upon one’s character. Similarly a bad name creates impact upon one’s character. It is to be mentioned that, Those who will name themselves with the sacred names as MUHAMMAD or AHMAD, they will achieve enormous benefits both in the earthy life and afterlife.

Qawl Shareef: Saiyiduna Ha’drwat Imamul Umam Alaihis Salam

Focal Wali-Allah, Imaam and Mujtahid of the age, Imaamul Aimmah, Muhyus Sunnah, Qutwubul A’alam, Mujaddide A’azwam, ‘Qwaiyumuz-Zaman, Jabbariul Awwal, ‘Qwawewool Awwal, Sultwanun-Naseer, ‘Habeebullah, Jamiul Alqab, Awladur Rwasool, Mawlana Saiyiduna ‘Ha’drwat Imaamul Umam Alaihis Salaam says,  ‘after the birth of children, it is a special sunnah for every Muslim parents to – (1) give bath to the baby; (2) give Azan in the right ear and Iqamah in the left ear; (3) make Tahniq or feed honey by a sacred pious person; (4) shave off hair in the seventh day and donate gold, silver or it’s equivalent to the weighed hair of the baby; (5) give aqiqa on the seventh day; (6) Name a beautiful meaningful Islamic name. Mujaddide A’azwam, Saiyiduna Ha’drwat Imaamul Umam ‘Alaihis Salaam says, ‘and abstain from keeping meaningless non-Islamic name that resembles with the custom of disbelievers and derailed people. Because, a good name effects upon one’s character, similarly a bad name also effects. Regarding this, a Hadees Shareef is mentioned in the sacred Muatta Shareef that says, ‘Ameerul Mu’mineen, Khwalifatul Muslimeen, Ha’drwat Faruk-e-A’azwam ‘Alaihis Salaam asked a man about his name. He replied,  ‘Jamrat’  which means flower of fire. He asked again, ‘where is your residence? That man replied ‘Bahrunnar’ which means Ocean of  Fire. He again asked person, ‘in which portion? That man replied – ‘Bejatillaja’ which means ‘the burning portion’. Hearing this Ha’drwat Faruq-e-A’azwaam ‘Alaihis Salaam replied, “you would see after returning to your tribe that everybody is burnt to ash”. The person later said that after returning to his tribe he saw everyone had burnt to ash.”

Mujaddide A’azwam, Saiyiduna Ha’drwat Imaamul Umam ‘Alaihis Salaam continues to add, ‘those who will name themselves as the sacred name ‘Muhammad’ and ‘Ahmad’ and retain it,  all of them will achieve unprecedented Fadilat (blessings) both  in the earthly  and afterlife.  He made  quotation of a Hadees Shareef mentioned in the Bukhari Shareef, Muslim Shareef, Mishkat Shareef and Mirkat Shareef, narrated by Ha’drwat Jabeer RwadiAllahu Ta’ala Anhu, Noor-e-Mujassam, Habeebullah, ‘Hu’dur Pak Swallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam Dictates, “Do naming in my name.”

Mujaddide A’azwam, Saiyiduna Ha’drwat Imaamul Umam ‘Alaihis Salaam, referring to the famous Qitab of Hadees Shareef titled ‘Al Firdaus Lid Daylami Shareef, says that “Narrated by Ha’drwat Anas Ibne Malik RwadiAllahu Anhu, Noor-e-Mujassam, Habeebullah, ‘Hu’dur Pak Swallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam Declares, “In the Day of Resurrection, two bandas (persons) by the sacred names Muhammad and Ahmad will be brought in front of Allah Pak. Allah Pak will then order to take them to Jannah. Then both of them will say, ‘Ya Allah Pak, how did we get the Jannah as we did not do anything worth of it? Then Allah Pak the Greatest will reply taking oath of His Jaat Pak that nobody having the sacred names ‘Muhammad’ and ‘Ahmad’ will go to Jahannam (hell). SubhanAllah.

Mujaddide A’azwam, Saiyiduna Ha’drwat Imaamul Umam ‘Alaihis Salaam says, basically as naming in the sacred Name Mubarwak of Noore Mujassam Habeebullah ‘Hu’dur Pak Swallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam is the cause of attaining Rwa`hmat (mercy), Barakat (prosperity) and Fadilat (blessing) in the earthy life so is the reason for getting Shafayat (intercession), Najat (salvation) and Barakat (blessings). Therefore, it should be prime duty of all to abstain from giving or retaining meaningless name or any name that gives a notion of bad meaning or that has similarity with disbelievers and have names following the sacred names of our dearest Rwasool Saiyidul Mursaleen, Imamul Mursaleen,   Noore Mujassam, Habeebullah, ‘Hu’dur Pak Swallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam and earn enormous Fadilat (blessing) and Barakat (prosperity).
